Sold in 1982 by the school to the insurance company AXA, the mural was located at 787 Seventh Avenue, then, from 1996 to 2012, at 1290 Avenue of the Americas / 52nd Street. AXA equity has donated the masterwork to the Metropolitan Museum, which will exhibit the panels by 2015 in the Marcel Breuer building formerly used by the Whitney Museum of American Art.
