She learned the techniques of architectural model making, diorama construction, and background painting through her work in museum exhibits at the Royal British Columbia Museum from 1975 to 1986. Now working independently, she has created diorama murals for the New York State Museum in Albany and the "Traveling the Pacific" exhibit at the Field Museum.
