biografische angaben: Born 1917 in Chicago, died 1990. American painter. He received his B.A. in philosophy and sociology from the University of Chicago in 1936. He spent the next year studying art with Emil Armin at the School of the Art Institute, where he exhibited during the 1930s and 1940s. He traveled abroad and taught painting and drawing in Palestine for a year. He also worked as an illustrator for Fortune magazine.
